About Me

My photo
I am now a 36 year old widow. Not sure how much things can change or how much they can change but let me tell you it can happen in the blink of an eye. The rug has been pulled from under me and I am struggling to pick myself and my kids up. I feel like sometimes, we have to be ready for when our plans and God's plans change what we think is going to happen. I am hopeful that our family's future includes Mark, my beloved husband, as much as we can.

Blog Challenge #8

"What do you feel passionate about? Photography? Writing?
Is there a topic you feel strongly about? Abortion? Politics? Religion?"
I feel strongly about raising my children to be strong people who are not followers but try to do the right thing. It is hard. I hope that they become the kind of people that stand up for themselves and others.

I think that's really important. I think we all must teach our children how we think is the best way and just show them what we know. They will remember what they've been taught as they grow older. :)

That is a great thing to feel passionate about and it says a lot about you as a mother and as a person!

I agree with you. I have encouraged my children to be 'thinkers' by allowing plenty of discussions and debates over the years. If the basic moral values are in place and empathy is encouraged from an early age,it adds social development.

One other thing I believe that not everyone agrees with, is that children must be allowed to learn from their mistakes to some degree. Not eveything you tell them will be taken as fact.
