About Me

My photo
I am now a 36 year old widow. Not sure how much things can change or how much they can change but let me tell you it can happen in the blink of an eye. The rug has been pulled from under me and I am struggling to pick myself and my kids up. I feel like sometimes, we have to be ready for when our plans and God's plans change what we think is going to happen. I am hopeful that our family's future includes Mark, my beloved husband, as much as we can.

Sad times

I have been feeling really blue this week, we got news my Aunt Cande isn't doing well and is probably not going to make it. It always brings on feelings of what happened to my sister. I have to rely on my faith but that is hard sometimes. I have been thinking about it and praying for her family to have peace. It is hard to hear of their struggles. We are thinking of them today Uncle Arnie and family, peace be with you. John 14:1-2
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many mansions;if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Revelation 21:4
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Weekly Challenge #7

v"Share with everyone something about your family. It doesn't have to be words, it could be a favorite picture of them or maybe a project one of your kids did for school. It could be a serious matter, or a funny thing that was said."I am going to share some old favorite pictures so bear with me :).

Weekly Blog Challenge #6

Find your favorite saying, poem, article, recipe, hobby, whatever and post it in your blog. Let people know why this is your favorite.

This is my favorite saying:  The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything. Love generously, care deeply, speak kindly & leave the rest to God.  I feel a lot happier when I think like this.  I am not trying to keep up with the Jones's just keeping up with my family is hard enough.  There are so many things that are out of our hands and to me they are decisions that are up to God.  I have been working on some personal things and right now this just fits.  Leave the rest with god some answers we may not like but we will always receive answers to our prayers.

Weekly Blog Challenge #5

This week's challenge is to write about anything that's been on your mind lately. It could be good or something you may be struggling with. This always helps me to let out my feelings. Good luck!

Oh there is so much on my mind at any given time!  Today I think i am going to vent about not being able to find work.  I don't want a pitty party or anything like that but it has been hard on me all the way around.  I feel like I am less than because I can't seem to find something that will work.  In all of the time I have been laid off now (9 months) I have applied for everything and anything.  I have had one interview that I thought went well, the interviewer called me personally and said I did really well, but there are sooo many people out there right now looking for work I feel less than.  Everyone keeps saying oh they would be lucky to have you but I am starting to wonder........

Weekly blog challenge #4

"It's time to write about a goal you're working towards or a goal you've accomplished recently. It could be that you lost that 2 pounds you've been working hard to lose. It could be a new update to the house or a new trip you've decided to plan for the summer. It could just be that you've got your entire house clean. Just write about how it makes you feel."
My goal is to get back in shape.  I have been working out nightly on my Gazelle and I love how I feel.  At first I was so sore all of the time but now I feel the burn in my muscles and it feels good to me.  I love how much more energy I have during the day, I love how it makes me sleep better at night.  I can do it while watching tv so I don't stare at the timer and wonder when I will be done.  It is my goal to do this every night of the week and so far I am doing really great :)
